“I grew up surrounded by gangs, drug dealers and pimps. I know what it’s like to have a gun pointed at me, what it’s like to be dealing stuff and robbing people.” T-Bone began releasing Christian rap albums in 1993, making him one of the earliest pioneers of the subgenre. Much of his music draws on his early years on the streets.
